This project was an emoji interpretive and comparative study with UIC School of Design students. Randomly selected students were asked to interpret a series of emojis presented to them, while their interpretations were being photo-documented. All collected material was isolated based on facial and gestural reactions/interpretations and compared across students sharing different ages, cultural, and racial backgrounds.
