ART AND DESIGN CO-OP APP
ARTS 412 – GRAPHIC DESIGN SOFTWARE II
FALL 2019
BINGHAMTON UNIVERSITY (SUNY)
HARPUR COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCES
For this assignment, students were asked to create a prototype for a phone application for University of Binghamton’s Art and Design Co-op. Students were divided into three groups and were encouraged to do all initial research regarding the app, before they move to the designing part of their process. Students contacted interviews with the stuff of the Art and Design Co-op, as well as students that use the Co-op. Using the AEIOU (Activities, Environments, Interactions, Objects and Users) system, students performed observations related to the Art and Design Co-op. After brainstorming as one group and agreeing on a structured wireframe, students worked within their groups in order to bring the phone application to life. The final outcome was three fully functional app prototypes (created using Adobe XD).
